Eat with us

Our produce is available seasonally through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and at the St. John’s Farmers’ Market. We focus on high quality vegetables picked at their peak ripeness. If you have a garden in the metro St. John’s area, you can also contact us about our landscaping services In Your Garden.

Early September spread at the market.

What is Community Supported Agriculture?

CSA is a great way to guarantee your family a selection of vegetables throughout the season. We harvest and pack your ‘share’ of the harvest to be picked up at the farm in Portugal Cove or from a central point in St. John’s. We are now all sold out for the 2013 season & we are looking forward to bringing the bounty to our members.

From the Robyn Van En Centre:

CSA is a relationship of mutual support and commitment between local farmers and community members who pay the farmer an annual membership fee to cover the production costs of the farm. CSA members receive a weekly share of the harvest during the local growing season.

Community Supported Agriculture ensures farmers have a secure market for their farm products and directly links consumers with producers. A personal connection is made between food and the land on which it was produced. This model strengthens local economies by keeping food dollars in local communities. CSA members have access to great tasting vegetables of the highest quality, and are welcome to become involved in our farm beyond the relationship of consumer. We create an atmosphere for learning about sustainable agricultural to members of the community, to educators from many fields of study, and to students of all ages.
